The Gaudí Tile, also known as panot Gaudí, is a famous design by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí.
It was designed in 1904 for the building Casa Batlló, but it was later used in Casa Milà.
The tile has a unique hexagonal shape, which was unusual at that time.
Its design is inspired by nature, especially the sea. It includes shapes that look like shells, sea stars, and plants.
When many tiles are placed together, they create a larger continuous pattern.
In 1997, the tile was installed on the sidewalks of Passeig de Gràcia.
Today, it is one of the most recognizable symbols of Barcelona and shows Gaudí’s creativity even in small design details.
